Something has to break to break inflation. That was always known. Part of the reason we have the inflation we do is because of all of these central bank rescues when stock markets fell. If they don’t continue the tightening, inflation will explode. Argentina is a good example of what happens with cowardly central bankers and politicians. Unfortunately, the painful lessons from the 70′s and early 80′s have been unlearned.

Hope these ratings agencies let us know. They looked the other way 15 years ago before the GFC, looked the other way, and that unraveling took most of us by surprise. If they don’t do their job and warn us, what are they for?
